Yasmin Roper is an Associate Civil Engineer with over a decade of experience delivering complex infrastructure projects across Victoria. She currently leads the Roads & Streets business at Arup’s Melbourne office, where she manages a team of nearly 30 professionals focused on designing and delivering innovative, sustainable road projects.

Yasmin holds qualifications in Civil Engineering, Management, and Sustainability, and is widely recognised for her ability to balance technical excellence with a strong emphasis on team culture, pastoral care, and career development. Her leadership style is grounded in empathy and empowerment, fostering an environment where individuals are supported to thrive both professionally and personally.

A passionate advocate for safe and intelligent mobility, Yasmin is committed to integrating emerging technologies and sustainable practices into transport systems that serve diverse communities. Her project portfolio includes major highway upgrades and autonomous vehicle trials, reflecting her forward-thinking approach to infrastructure.

As a queer, neurodivergent woman, Yasmin brings a powerful and intersectional perspective to the engineering and infrastructure sector. She actively spearheads diversity and inclusion initiatives, working to dismantle systemic barriers and create workplaces where all voices are heard and valued. Her advocacy is not only informed by lived experience but also by a deep belief in the transformative power of inclusive leadership.
