Mark McManamny

Chief Executive – Australia New Zealand

AECOM

As Chief Executive of AECOM’s Australia New Zealand (ANZ) region, Mark leads a talented team of technical and advisory professionals delivering projects across the transport, water, environment, buildings, resources and energy markets. A member of AECOM’s Global Executive Leadership Team, Mark is responsible for the ANZ region and drives the implementation of AECOM’s strategy, focusing on growth initiatives aligned with digital project delivery and the energy transition. Mark champions equity, diversity and inclusion within AECOM and across the industry. He was co-chair of AECOM’s ANZ Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) committee and a member of the company’s global ED&I steering committee.

He is a member of the AWEI National Executive LGBTQ+ Allies Forum and regularly speaks at industry and client forums on the positive impact of inclusion. Mark joined AECOM in 2006 and has held several leadership roles, building diverse and inclusive teams to deliver some of the largest projects in Australia. Most recently, he led AECOM’s Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania business through a period of sustained growth via the delivery of city-shaping infrastructure projects, including the Level Crossing Removal Program, Melbourne Metro and North East Link.

He started his career with VicRoads as a highways engineer and built international experience in roles with Transport for London, WS Atkins and Mouchel. Mark is a Fellow and Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia and a former Engineers Australia Civil Infrastructure Committee member.
